No doubt you enjoy the trick or treaters that come to your door on Halloween and you don’t want to scare them off. If you are tempted to really make your home stand out this Halloween then you really need to think about a few of these diy spooky props.
How about a head in a jar sitting on your front porch!

Here’s what you need to make your own:
- Photo editing software
- Large jar
- food colouring
- computer printer
- paper lamination (also available at local print/copy store)
Making your own head in a jar is easy, but requires some photo editing skills. I’ve included a tutorial on how I made mine, and took me about 30 minutes to compose. Personalizing this prank will make it more effective. But, if you’re not a pro with photo editing, you can download my flattened head image below.
