There is no shortage of new and innovative do it yourself ideas that include coming up with ideas to enhance and improve our bodies. When you are moving into this territory however, it is something that you want to do with extreme caution.
You may have heard about the DIY braces trend and then soon forgot about it as it wasn’t something you were thinking about venturing into.
Fox News just released an interesting article about this…
“Have you heard about the woman in Washington State who claims to have closed a gap in her front teeth in 44 days using DIY braces—specifically, five dollars worth of hair elastics?
“I’ve got some news for you,” Jamila Garza proudly proclaimed in a video she posted on YouTube in 2012, flashing a toothy grin. “My gap is officially closed.”
Apparently all that cost-efficient tinkering struck a cord; there were multiple videos documenting the various stages of the process, which got more than 100,000 views, ABC News reports.” read rest of report here at Fox news
It really makes you wonder if diy braces were so easy, why do professionals take the training they do, and why does it take some a long time for the pros to go through the procedure.
DIY is a wonderful past time but never should be done where there is even the slightest possibly that some harm is going to exist.
While this diy braces trend has not just erupted and was popular a few years back…there are indications that it may be re-surfacing.
That is not to say that rubber bands are not used to assist in the alignment of the teeth, but this done under the care of a professional
